Many people know that Christians honor Jesus and Mary as the holy persons who bring happiness and prosperity. What people perhaps do not know is that Muslims also honor Jesus and Mary. Muslim religion believes there are twenty five Prophets sent by Allah to mankind. One of them is Jesus who is placed at the number twenty fourth. He was the Prophet who brought Bible to people. Long time after that God revised Bible and sent Muhammad the twenty fifth and the last Prophet. Muslim use Quran since then to replace Bible. This is the basic belief of Muslim about Jesus. So, they do not place Him as one of the God. Jesus was only human being and became special because God raised him as the Prophet. Jesus also passed away like just an ordinary people.

While Mary, Islam believes that she is the virgin mother of Prophet Jesus. In Quran, there is specific chapter which explains the existence of Mary. So, Muslims honor her in special place and should act properly like what Mary had done in the past. Quran also explains the birth of Jesus and his family. Since they are mentioned many times in Quran, it can be concluded that Jesus and Mary are two special persons for Muslims. Christians believe that Jesus was crucified. In this case, Muslims believe that Jesus was put on the cross and raised with the help of God (Allah). So, Jesus was not crucified. It was another person who was crucified in his place. One important thing is Muslims believe that Jesus will come back to the Earth to unite the Christians and the Muslims.
